Northwestern Wildcats Tickets - Wrestling Matches are Won by Using Pin Parade
Posted by Vernon
Gen Wright asked:

The analogy of wrestling with football just does not fit well in any case. But then that seems to be the case with Northwestern Wildcats. You just cannot afford to think of anything else at all. But then hey ? We are talking about wrestling here!

And the team here in contention is the Northwestern Wildcats! This Dallas Team definitely had their objective clear even before they could start their season. They had to absolutely decimate every opponent that came their way. They had to ensure that each opportunity was taken and importantly, grabbed with both hands. The fact that they had lost too much before this day means that they do not have anything more to lose from now. And if they do, they are certainly on their way out.

With this thought in mind, and with the goal of competing in the Adams League Division Title 1 playoffs, the Dallas Town team took the wrestling court by storm in the Dallas Town High School. Playing against the Eagles here, the Dallas Town team absolutely pulverized everything that was thrown at them. Punches were traded, pins were dealt ? By the time the evening ended, the Wildcats were victorious 51-19. A heavy margin indeed, but experts would agree that the fights were a little bit closer than what the victory margin would suggest.

Everything just seemed to go as per plan for the Wildcats. They had targeted as many pins as possible, and in the matches, they were able to clock up six pins and a technical fall. Obviously, these played a very crucial part in the final outcome. One of the strategic moves of the Wildcats was to aim at the opponent?s body, whereas the visitors were more intent on targeting the head of a Wildcat. Now that the match is over, the Dovers team could possibly sit back and rethink what went wrong. Surely, the fact that they focused more on the head of the hosts would be one of the mistakes they seem to have committed.

Clay, the son of Coach Gable, seems to have heard enough of his father?s request to get more pins. Dutifully, he led the pin parade scoring against Nicholas Logue of the Dovers at 171. But as the evening came through, it became quite clear that the Wildcats would struggle, especially the major decision won by the Eagles in the match up of Scott Page and Josh Arnold. Scott from the Dovers drove home victory at the count of 135. At this time, the Eagles were trailing 21-19.

Surely, they would have been harboring thoughts of taking a good lead and possibly even winning the match. As it turned out, it was a complete bloodbath for the Dovers. And at the end, they would have to go home licking their wounds after being smashed to a 51-19 defeat. Surely this defeat would rankle the Dovers for some time to come at least, because they are not such a bad team at all.

Wrestling Singlet
Posted by Vernon
dresscloth asked:

A wrestling singlet (or simply singlet) is a one-piece, tight-fitting, colored uniform, usually made of spandex, lycra, or nylon, used in amateur wrestling. The uniform is tight fitting so as not to get grasped accidentally by one’s opponent, and allows the referee to see each wrestler’s body clearly when awarding points or a pin. Unlike judo, it is illegal to grasp an opponent’s clothing in all styles of amateur wrestling.

applied industrial materialsIn most high school and college wrestling matches, the competitors wear singlets in their team colors. To designate a competitor’s color for scoring purposes a red or green anklet is also worn.

Outside school competition (e.g., in international wrestling: freestyle and Greco-Roman) wrestlers bring a red and a blue singlet (or reversible singlet) and are told before the match which color to wear.

Singlets are also common among professional wrestlers. Many of these are much more stylized than those worn by amateurs, although the use of singlets in professional wrestling has declined in the last two decades.

A new style of singlet, known as a double, has recently emerged in college wrestling that covers more of the upper body. Made of the same lycra material, this singlet has more of a t-shirt covering than the traditional thin-strap singlet more commonly worn. This type of singlet is usually worn with accompanying tight-fitting shorts. This style of singlet is currently only allowed on the college level, although there is report that some high school wrestlers use this singlet style in practice sessions.

Only with special permission are wrestlers allowed to wear a t-shirt under their singlet, most commonly for sanitary reasons involving excessive acne on the chest or back.

There are three different traditional “cuts” to wrestling singlets: the high cut, the fila cut, and the low cut. The high cut covers most of the chest and reaches up to the under-arms on the side. The fila cut is like the high cut but does not rise up as high beneath the arms. The low cut singlet is a revealing singlet, that allows greater range of mobility, keeps its wearer cooler, tends to be more comfortable when not on the mat (wrestlers tend to wear their singlets under their clothes nearly all day in some circumstances). The low cut reaches down to the middle abdomen in the front, reaches down to the hips on the sides, and features a single strap that runs up the back that is very thin.

Underneath the singlet, wrestlers traditionally wore a jockstrap (athletic supporter), although wrestling briefs, compression shorts or nothing at all has become more popular in recent years. Some wrestlers wear an athletic supporter with a protective cup, regular briefs, boxers or tights. A protective cup will protect the wrestler from an elbow, knee, jab, etc… to the groin, but isn’t considered common. Brad Garrett’s character in The Pacifier can be seen wearing a cup for wrestling.

For practice or between matches, sanitary shorts are worn over the singlet. This seems to function mostly as a modesty covering for the wrestler.

Sambo, The Unique And Effective Russian Fighting Art.
Posted by Vernon
Yoshi Kundagawa asked:

Developed in the former Soviet Union and recognized as an official sport by the USSR All-Union Sports Committee in 1938, Sambo is a modern martial art. It is most definitely a combat sport and also a self defense system. Sometimes referred to in the USA as Sombo, Sambo literally means “self-defense without a weapon” and has its roots in folk styles of wrestling like Mongolian Khapsagay, Armenian Koch and Georgian Chidaoba.

Although there is no real recognized founder of Sambo, Anatoly Kharlampiev is often officially stated as being the founder. Vasili Oshchepkov, who was shot during the political purges of 1933, and Viktor Spiridonov, due to a shoulder injury during the Russo-Japanese war, used Sambo as a soft, aikido-like system.

Sambo is one of the four styles of amateur wrestling practiced today, the other three are Greco-Roman wrestling, Freestyle wrestling and Judo. FILA accepted Sambo as the 3rd style of international wrestling in 1968. In 1985, the Federation International Amateur Sambo (FIAS) was formed. Sambo was a demonstration sport at the 1980 Moscow Olympics but due to the large number of boycotts that affected the games, numbers were insufficient for Sambo to be included in further games.

Originally a single system, there are now four recognized styles of Sambo. Borba Sambo or Sport Sambo is very similar to Judo or wrestling, but unlike Judo, allows leg locks but choke holds are forbidden. Self-defense Sambo is much like jujitsu or Aikido and works on the basis of defense against attacks armed and unarmed. Boyevoye Sambo or Combat Sambo was developed for the military and included the use of weapons and uses disarming techniques. Competition in these styles is like the older Judo combined with mixed martial arts with grappling and striking used extensively. The last style is Special Sambo, which was developed for the Special Forces of the Army and the Rapid Reaction Police and different branches of the service use different techniques. Those who participate in Sambo competitions normally wear either a red or blue jacket called a kurtka, a belt and shorts of the same color and Sambo shoes called sambovki.

Russian martial arts differ from those of the east in that they are not so much based on techniques but are based on training concepts. In Eastern martial arts, the instruction is through rehearsing moves and techniques where as in Sambo and other Russian forms, they are taught to use improvisation but within a certain structure. Students of this style are taught that pain is a penalty for an incorrect move and when you stop getting hurt, you are doing it right.

Today there are Sambo schools and teachers worldwide and the sports popularity has grown immensely in recent years.

Kevin Randleman: Not The Kind of Guy You Want to Mess With
Posted by Vernon
Phoenix Delray asked:

At five feet, ten inches tall and two hundred and five pounds, 36 year old mixed martial arts champion Kevin The Monster Randleman is definitely not the kind of guy you want yourself to get on the bad side of. American bred, born and raised, Kevin Randleman went to college at the Ohio State University, where he wrestled on their Division I NCAA team. Out of the four years he attended college, he was the Division I wrestling champion in his weight class for two of them.

After graduating from college, Kevin Randleman then began fighting professionally. In 1996 when he began his career, Kevin Randleman won the first five cage matches he had at Universal Vale Tudo Fighting 4, earning himself the nickname of The Monster.

Three years later, he began wrestling for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he won the majority of the matches he competed in. From 2002 to 2003, Kevin Randleman participated in PRIDE 22 through PRIDE 26, where he won three of the five competitions.

Despite all of the success that Kevin Randleman had in his career, he also suffered several personal and professional setbacks. Following a bout in 2006, Kevin Randleman failed a drug test that was given to him by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. A staunch and public opponent of the use of performance enhancing drugs, the failed test came as a shock to many of his fans. He later said that the reason he did not submit his own urine as a sample was because of his use of antibiotics and painkillers that were prescribed to him after surgery.

Less than a year later in early 2007, Kevin Randleman was hospitalized as a result of severe kidney damage. Meanwhile, the Nevada State Athletic Commission revoked his license to fight for more than a year. Kevin Randleman also had to battle a serious staph infection before returning to work.

As if the heath problems and troubles with the Nevada State Athletic Commission were not enough, on August 16 2007, Kevin Randleman was arrested in a suburb of Las Vegas. There were several charges that came out of the arrest, and one of which includes drunk driving.

Despite all of the troubles he had, Kevin Randleman was still able to recover. He is now back to professional fighting, and in May of 2008 he won his fight against Ryo Kawamura of Japan.

Best Wwe Tag Teams for the Last 10 Years
Posted by Vernon
Wrestling Game asked:

In my last article, I talked about how the WWE has a weak tag division. I didn’t really go into too much depth about what they DID have though. First, I’m going to go over a few of the best tag teams in the last decade, and look at some of the traits that made them so great.

First, we have what many would consider the best tag team of the last decade, and one of the best all-time to boot. They are currently a part of TNA, but have made their mark in the WWF and WWE, and should definitely be in contention when talking about the top tag teams ever. I’m talking, of course, about the Dudley Boyz, known now as Team 3D. Brother D-Von and Brother Ray compose this team, a pair of 300 lb guys who are probably the best tag team currently in wrestling today. Brother Ray is one of the funniest and most charismatic guys in the industry, from hilarious segments about trying to lose weight, to frustrating the hell out of Jim Cornette, he and D-Von constantly entertain on a weekly basis.

Second, and I’m only gonna go over three here, is probably the 2nd best Tag Team, behind the Dudleyz. I’m talking of course about the team of Edge and Christian, who dropped and won the belt 7 times in just a couple of years. The ‘brothers’ from Canada were also very entertaining in their day. Known throughout their days as a number of names, from Hard Impact to High Impact to the ******* Blondes, to imitating Los Conquistadores, they did whatever they could to win the gold. The two originally started off, as many remember, as members of The Brood with Gangrel. The two soon broke off their relationship with Gangrel, however, and started feuding with the next tag team on my list. Later on after lots of great feuds with the next tag team, they aligned with Kurt Angle to form Team ECK, later known as Team RECK after Rhyno joined. They won the title 7 times during this time, and lost the belts after their final reign to the Brothers of Destruction. The team reunited a few more times, before Christian left for TNA.

The final tag team, and perhaps the last big name tag team the WWE has had, is of course the team with two of the most loved wrestlers in the WWE, The Hardy Boys. Known as Team Xtreme, The Hardys, The Hardy Boyz, and The New Breed when Gangrel joined up with them. Lita joined up with them, and they had a great two year rivalry with Edge and Christian. They participated in the first ever TLC match for the WWF Tag Titles at Summerslam in 2000, gaining them a large amount of priority, even though they lost. Their popularity with younger kids skyrocketed, including an appearance as un-named wrestlers on That 70s Show(if you find this episode online, send me a message, I’ve been trying to find it!). The team split up after a time, and Jeff Hardy was fired for drug reasons, but rejoined the WWE on August 4, 2006. The team reunited in late 2006, and fought through mid 2007 before starting to go their separate ways. They fought in November 07, but lost to MVP and Mr. Kennedy. The Hardys were a bit more unique as compared to, say, The Dudleyz, however. The Dudleyz are more remembered for their entertaining mic skills, whereas the Hardys are known for their in-ring work, and high-flying antics. One thing I personally find very interesting is that the Hardys are proof that fans are starting to prefer the high flying fast paced style as compared to the slow down style the WWE insists on promoting. The Hardys are still a popular pair of guys, and hopefully Jeff can recover from his recent loss of his home, and perhaps try to cut back on the drug problems, because he still has a chance to make his mark in a big way on the wrestling industry.

Now let’s take a look at some of the lesser tag teams in the WWE. First, we have Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore on Smackdown! The two weren’t really doing much as singles wrestlers, especially after the Cruiserweight Belt was thrown out, and, truth be told, haven’t done much as a tag team either, despite the fact that they work pretty well together and have talent. Another pair of guys is Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder. Granted, they’re not really a tag team so much, since they’re aligned with Edge now, and granted, they aren’t very memorable, and fairly plain, but they still could be utilized as a tag team more often. A feud would be nice. The last tag team from Smackdown! I’m going to mention for now is Deuce and Domino. These two goons have just become jobbers, usually as singles, though the other guy and Cherry come out with them. From RAW, there are a few more ‘lesser’ tag teams. First is the McAllisters, Robbie and Rory. It was wondered if Robbie would be fired, as he was seen on a TNA episode, though one would think they would have done it by now. The other team I’ll mention is Cade and Murdoch. These two have become little more than jobbers in recent history, and have dropped off considerably since holding the tag team belts last year.

Next, we have the current Tag Team Champions. First we’ll start off with the WWE Tag Team Champs, John Morrison and The Miz. While Morrison experienced some tag success with Joey Mercury as part of team MNM, he hasn’t found any with The Miz. The WWE appears to have tried to repeat here the success they had with MVP and Matt Hardy winning the belts, which boosted that feud further. When MVP and Matt Hardy won the belts, it was to boost their feud, showing friction between the two. It helped big time too. The night they lost the belts, MVP turned on Matt, gaining major heat from the audience when he ruthlessly beat the hell out of Matt on Smackdown! However, Miz and Morrison, while it seemed might have potential at the start of their reign, have fizzled. They’ve gotten lost in the shuffle.

The World Tag Team Champs had their own little storyline that started off well enough, then fizzled. It started with Cody Rhodes trying to gain the respect of ******** Holly after getting his *** beat 3 times in a row by him. Somewhere along the line, Holly and Rhodes started teaming up and fighting as a team. On the 15th anniversary of RAW, the two beat Cade and Murdoch, winning the belts. It seemed like they might have an interesting run, but that petered off after a month or so.

Next to last, let me talk about the two tag teams, that in my opinion, can be the WWE’s ’saviors’ of tag team wrestling. Let’s start off with SmackDown!’s Jesse and Festus. I’ll admit, when I started seeing the promos for these two, I figured they’d be a stupid tag team and that I’d never care to watch them. But while Jesse is still fairly boring to watch, though does well enough on the mic, Festus, who was actually the fake Kane for a time being in the past, is the star here. The crowd has grown to love this guy, who is docile until the bell rings to start a match, at which time he goes nuts. These two could use a good long feud with The Miz and Morrison, and it would be nice to get some heat in the feud. My next savior team is the one that just recently returned to RAW. Easily the most entertaining tag team, Cryme Time has started getting some good reactions from their antics of selling whatever they get their hands on to their chant ‘money money, yeah yeah’. These guys should be the face of tag team wrestling in the WWE in the future.

Here’s what I think should happen. First of all, the WWE should have Jesse and Festus win the WWE Tag Belts, and Cryme Time win the World belts. Then have a tag unification match at some point, with Cryme Time winning, and selling the WWE Tag Belts on RAW. Then what I think would be the best possible tag feud out there right now is Cryme Time vs The Miz and Morrison. Think about it, you’ve got the thugs who love to sell things, and the two Hollywood guys, who love spotlight and like to look good. Cryme Time could sell their stuff, perhaps Morrison’s shades, Miz’s hat, or Morrison’s coat, and there you have a nice feud.

The WWE has the potential to ‘revive’ the tag team belts, and the whole tag division, if things are done right. Cryme Time should become the next big tag team, and definitely has the potential to be an all time great. The WWE needs to unify the belts, and have Cryme Time as their World Champs.

And that’s the fishin’ line, cause Shark Boy said so.

Knowing More About Professional Wrestling
Posted by Vernon
Bercle George asked:

Wrestling is one of the most popular form sport in the world. In fact, this has been attracting millions of fans throughout the globe. And one of its institutions that manages such a sport is the World Wrestling Entertainment. Professional wrestling is a combination of successful merchandising and of course televised events.

Wrestling is a form of sports entertainment like no other. The fanfare, lights, music and outlandish characters make wrestling what it is today. A combination of gymnastic moves, extensive training and dedication are required of all wrestling superstars. At each event, the athletes strive to provide a quality performance and one that fans will enjoy until the last minute.

Wrestling belts are made of well-designed gold plates. Professional wrestling championship belts originated from the championship belts in boxing. The title-name and the wrestling promotion are printed on a leather strap with a gold design on the belt. The color and design of wrestling belts changes with each title and promotion.

The WWF is certainly considered as a major powerhouse which cater the prestigious event- the wrestling. In their sports arena usually the big fans and idols are gathered. A number of wrestling schools, throughout America, train athletes to perfect the art of the sport, the maneuvers and even may help to provide placement for their most talented performers.

Everyone interested in training for professional wrestling may decide to approach the organization that they eventually hope to work for, such as WWE, and require for a list of wrestling schools that they scout. This is done because, if there are companies or school who endorse athletes, then this athletes would have the chance to benefit from joining the wrestling school as recommended. This is one step closer to their dreamed stardom.

Some may not know it but honestly, wrestling training centers can be very high on fees and that primarily depends on the skills of the athletes and the range of training. They can utilize various body building equipments for their weight training, workouts, their diet regimens and of course the actual ring practice. Overall, their life as future professional wrestler demands task-exhausting training.

For those who prefer to watch from afar, and not actually be a part of the action, the sidelines are the best seat in the house. Televised tapings are held throughout the country with visits to stadiums and venues in almost every state. In addition, autograph events are frequently held in order to allow fans to meet their favorite wrestling superstars up-close and personal.

A Beginners Guide to Martial Arts
Posted by Vernon
April Kerr asked:

Martial arts generally mean the art of defending yourself physically from the opponents who are trying to hurt you in some way.

There are certain techniques which are quite tough to learn and need continuous practice to master them. Though this is basically meant for self-defense but there are certain links that it shares with the religious beliefs and rituals of Hinduism, Confucianism or Buddhism.

This is assumed that the origination of the martial arts occurred in Asia but the practices gained popularity in the European countries and they were further modified into some special actions and postures. Martial art is also practiced in various parts of Africa and America with slight difference in the techniques.

Forms of Martial Arts

There are quite a number of forms which are included in the category of martial arts. The main movements are categorized into three sections which are wrestling, weaponry and striking. The section grappling or wrestling can again be divided into few sub-forms like throwing, pinning methods and joint locking. Classical wrestling and Judo are the two forms of pinning methods. Joint locking can be categorized into Aikido, Hapkido, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The throwing is all about Judo, Jujutsu, Shuai jiao, Glima and Sambo. The next section is grappling or wrestling. The striking method can be divided into three parts like Kicking, punching and other hits. Punching includes Wing Chung and boxing. Kicking has three forms which are Capoeira, Taekwondo and Savate. There are other strikes are Muay Thai, Shaolin KungFu and Karate.

The last form of the martial art is weaponry which is sub-divided into two forms like modern and traditional weaponry. Modern weaponry includes Eskrima, Jukendo, Jogo do Pau, and traditional weaponry is all about Gatka, Fencing, Silambam and Kendo. The other forms of martial arts are bone-setting, acupressure and acupuncture.

Training for Martial Arts

Shaping and strengthening the muscle training is an important part of martial arts training. There are various equipments available in the stores which will allow you to tone the muscles easily. Stretching and thigh kicking are two vital techniques that you need to perform regularly in order to master this act. The split leg equipment will be really helpful in this.

They will also tone the arm muscles and burn the fat in the abdominal area. Punching bags also play a crucial role in the training of martial arts. These are all heavy bags which are generally hung from the ceilings. The bags can be filled with either sand or water and the practice should be regular to increase the stamina. Kicking bags and shoes are also important accessories. These are the basic facts about martial arts which the learners should know to improve themselves.

Challenges for Ufc Champion Anderson Silva are a Weight Class Above
Posted by Vernon
Jon Murray asked:

UFC 78 is quickly approaching and it’s main event match-up between Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping made me think about fighters who could cut weight to drop to a lower weight class. In that spirit I am going to discuss four UFC fighters who might be well served by dropping weight and fighting below their current class.

Let me start at the top, the UFC heavyweight division. There are a couple of UFC heavyweights who could make 205lbs, remember Randy Couture fought as a light heavyweight for a while, he even held the light heavyweight title. There is really only one UFC heavyweight who I want to talk about dropping weight. Brandon “The Truth” Vera just dropped a three round decision to former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. Brandon didn’t loose this match because of his skill-set. He lost because of Tim’s size. Tim pushed Vera up against the fence and used his weight to close the distance, essentially negating Vera’s superior kicking game. If Brandon Vera dropped down to 205lbs I feel he would be competing on an even playing field and would likely quickly move into title contention.

The UFC light heavyweight division has the majority of guys who should consider dropping weight. There are three that I’d like to discuss, they are Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson. You’ll note that Bisping and Evans are the main event fighters at UFC 78. Both of these fighters are undefeated at light heavyweight.

Michael Bisping is an outstanding fighter, a good striker with an adequate ground game. However, his recent fight with Matt Hamill shows that he can be manhandled by a stronger opponent. Bisping mostly stayed on the outside in this fight and let Hamill control the action. I believe that this is because he was staying away from Hamill’s strength…with is wrestling, and physical strength. We all remember on the Ultimate Fighter when Hamill was overwhelming the other fighters with his physical strength, a move to 185lbs would not only put him into title contention, but would allow Bisping to be stronger than other opponents in that weight class.

Rashad Evans has already dropped a weight class. Rashad competed at heavyweight on the Ultimate Fighter TV series and did very well, winning his division, but his recent bout with Tito Ortiz showed that Rashad, despite his superior wrestling skills is a small light heavyweight. Rashad will have no problems matching strength with Bisping at UFC 78, but when fighting the larger light heavyweights like Forrest Griffin, Wanderlei Silva and Tito Ortiz he will get manhandled, essentially negating his wrestling advantage. A move to 185lbs would likely make Rashad an immediate title contender.

Dan Henderson has already fought at 185lbs and is the current, and likely last, PrideFC 185lb champion. Dan is strong, even for a 205lb fighter and Dan probably has the best wrestling in the UFC. Dan’s last fight with Quinton Jackson showed that he can have trouble with a guy who is a good wrestler, a good striker and is as physically strong as he is. There simply isn’t a fighter at 185lbs with Dan’s strength. With a decisive strength advantage, Dan’s heavy hands and fantastic wrestling would take him not only into title contention, but in my eyes he would defeat Anderson Silva.

The UFC 185lb division is probably it’s weakest. With a dominant champion and everyone else way below there are seemingly no challengers, but just above at 205lbs there are a bunch of small light heavyweight fighters who might want to consider transitioning to 185lbs.

Entertaining Holidays in Japan Hotels
Posted by Vernon
Nancy Eben asked:

Japan is a favorite destination for tourists worldwide. It has quietly but strongly emerged as a hot favorite of the tourists round the year. A holiday vacation in Japan begins from the New Year and continues till the next New Year! In fact, the Japanese businesses all shut down from January 1 to January 3 as people use this holiday time to spend time together with their loved ones. The Japanese give a lot of prominence to this holiday period and is locally called ‘shogatsu’ or ‘oshogatsu’. At the end of the year the Japanese celebrate with typical year forgetting parties called ‘bonenkai parties’. These signify leaving behind the gone years worries and troubles with a forward looking approach to a fresh start.

The New Years Eve sees the entrance gates being decorated and cleaning in all Japanese homes. This is followed by the serving of buckwheat noodles which according to tradition symbolize longevity. The Japanese lay a lot of emphasis on enjoying January 1st with a lot of fun bereft of stress and anger. A lot many also take this opportunity to visit a shrine or temple at sunshine. In Tokyo, the ‘Meiji Shrine’ attracts several million people over a period of three days in the beginning of the year. Previously people would participate in games which have decreased in popularity in recent years.

Japan being an all the year destination attracts tourists in every season of the year. The international tourists can enjoy the now internationally popular Japanese entertainment industry. One of the world’s largest entertainment industries it has innovatively created a niche for itself by overcoming the culture and language barrier to cater to an international audience. One must not forget to spend time in Japan’s amusement parks while on holiday to the nation. These parks are to be found in all parts of Japan and are very popular as well. One of the most famous is the one located in its capital city: the ‘Tokyo Disney Resort’. It is located at a convenient location about fifteen minutes by train from Tokyo station. There are numerous amusement parks of various kinds which are quite popular as well.

A journey to Japan is amiss without a glimpse of its national sport: ‘Sumo wrestling’. This Japanese style of wrestling owes its origins to ancient times which were then celebrated as a performance to please the ‘Shinto Gods’. Tokyo holds three Sumo wrestling tournaments every year in the months of January, May and September. One tournament is held in Osaka in March, one in Nagoya in July and one in Fukuoka in November. Experience the hospitality of the hotels in Japan with a flavor of their traditional tea ceremony. The custom of the tea ceremony has been influenced from Zen Buddhism. Japanese hospitality is famously represented by the well behaved staff at any of the Japan hotels. The international traveler can look forward to some fabulous services and amenities during their stay in the Japan hotels which are at par with the international standards.
